Object removal before and after
Compare a product photo with its price tag removed, a travel photo without a traffic cone, and a portrait with a paper cup removed. Use each before-and-after view to check how the edited area blends into the scene.
Remove objectsHow to remove an object from a photo in three steps
1Upload the photo you want to clean up
Start with a product image, portrait, travel photo, listing or AI generated picture. JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 10 MB each are supported.
2Mark exactly what should go
Drag a rectangle over a large area or paint over a small one with the brush. Switch to the eraser to pull the selection back, change brush size, and undo, redo or clear the mask until only the unwanted part is covered.

Generate, compare and download
Run the edit, then use the comparison button to switch between the original and edited image. Download the result when you are happy with it, or continue editing any area that needs more work.
Why mark an area instead of retouching the whole photo
Only the masked area is rewritten
The brush and rectangle decide what the model may touch. Everything outside the selection stays as it was, which is what makes this useful for a photo you already like apart from one detail. Treat it as a photo editor for removing objects rather than a full retouch.
Remove objectsControl over the edges
If you want to remove an object's shadow too, include it in the selection. Keep nearby details you want to preserve outside the mask, and use the eraser to correct any overshoot.
Remove objectsThe gap is filled from the surrounding scene
Replacement pixels come from nearby texture, light and structure, so a mark on pavement, sky, water or a plain wall is easier than one across a face or lettering. Check the result at full size before you use it.
Remove objectsClean up in more than one pass
For a large object, try removing the main part first, then compare the result and mark any remaining edges. You can continue editing the result; complex textures may need further adjustments.
Object remover questions
What can I remove from a photo?
People, objects, items, text, signs, wires, clutter, stickers, emoji overlays and reflections are all worth a try. How well it works depends on what you mark, the image quality and what sits behind it.
Can I remove text from a picture?
Yes. You can erase or delete text from a picture by painting over the lettering, including its edges, and the area is rebuilt from the surrounding image. If you want to replace the words and keep readable new text, use the image text editor instead.
Is this the same as a magic eraser?
Magic eraser is the name people often use for this kind of cleanup: you mark something, and AI fills the spot with background. This tool works that way, with a brush, rectangle, move and eraser for the selection.
How is object removal different from background removal?
Background removal separates a subject from the whole image. This page edits only the area you mark and leaves the rest of the frame alone, so the background stays in place.
Can I remove a person from a photo?
You can mark a passer-by or someone at the edge of the frame. Heavy overlap with the main subject is harder, because the model has to invent more of what was hidden behind them.
Will the result be an exact reconstruction?
No tool can recover pixels that were never captured. The model infers the hidden area from nearby content, so repeated patterns, lettering and fine detail may shift. Compare before you download.
Which files can I upload?
Upload JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 10 MB each. Images with a longest edge over 4096 pixels are automatically resized to that limit. The result downloads as a PNG at the processed image's dimensions.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Uploading, marking and comparing all work in a mobile browser, and the brush follows your finger for small corrections.
